Welcome to Greenfest 2013
Due to inclement weather, we have been forced to cancel GreenFest 2013. Please see the event page for contact information. We apologize for any inconvenience.
About GreenFest On the Greenbelt
GreenFest will be a fun festival for all ages. This regional event will celebrate the Ray Roberts Greenbelt through experiential outdoor activities, live music, and good food. Attendees can test their skills at archery, climbing, kayaking, biking, and geo-caching; view demonstrations by historians and craftsmen of the Cross Timbers eco-region; or take a carriage ride down the Greenbelt Trail. Kids will enjoy birds of prey and reptile exhibits, pony rides, Backyard Bass competition, and an inflatable obstacle course and slide. As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Lands Day Event, GreenFest will emphasize outdoor fun, respect for nature, and boating and water safety.
Greenfest 2013 is organized by the Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County, together with Texas Parks and Wildlife, the City of Denton, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Proceeds will go toward reopening the equestrian trail between Highways 428 and 455, repairing Greenbelt restrooms, installation of a wetland viewing deck and trail, if approved by the USACE, and support of the Greenbelt Alliance – a non-profit organization dedicated to stewardship of the Lewisville/Ray Roberts Greenbelt.
Please join us for the second annual GreenFest on the Greenbelt Sept. 28, 2013 from 1-8 p.m.
